Book Club - 3rd Edition | Unusual Literature

The Book Club - 3rd Edition, themed 'Unusual Literature,' is an initiative by the encruzilinhas project in partnership with ACLI-SP and the Immigration Museum. Curated by Maria Carolina Casati, this edition explores the 'new Latin American gothic' genre, focusing on works by women writers from the Global South. It delves into how fear and horror are experienced and expressed through a female perspective, particularly in regions with high femicide rates. The club will discuss texts by authors like Monica Ojeda, Yuliana Ortiz-Ruano, Yanick Lahens, and Maryse Condé across several meetings.
