Resistant Saturday | Democracy under Tutelage: Between the Judiciary and the Armed Forces

On June 20th, the Memorial da Resistência, in partnership with Núcleo Memória, hosts the 4th "Resistant Saturday" meeting. This event, part of the Cultural Exhibition and Action Program, will examine institutional disputes in Brazilian history, including military coups and political tensions between powers. The discussion will explore the contradictions between institutional tutelage and popular sovereignty, reflecting on how to strengthen citizen participation in a democratic state. It aims to explore the limits and potential of institutions in unstable contexts and the need to renew public trust.
