Sertão's Mouth

"Boca do Sertão" is an exhibition by indigenous artist and researcher Irineu Nje’a Terena, dedicated to affirming and updating indigenous cultures. Hailing from Aldeia Kopenoti and residing in Bauru, Irineu uses art to explore memory, resistance, and historical critique, confronting the erasure of indigenous peoples in São Paulo's interior. The show features works in ceramics, painting, drawing, installation, documentary, videoperformance, and animation, constructing an authorial narrative about a systematically silenced past.
