Marin Alsop returns to Osesp to conduct a program dedicated to contemporary American music. The concert features John Adams' 'The Rock You Stand On' and Samuel Barber's lyrical Violin Concerto, with Randall Goosby as soloist. The program concludes with Barber's iconic 'Adagio for Strings' and Adams' 'On the Transmigration of Souls,' a lament for the victims of the September 11, 2001 attacks.
