Workshops: Art, Play, and Participation

This workshop explores the connections between art, education, and play culture, tracing influences from 19th-century pedagogical toys to 20th-century art. Participants will discuss contributions from artists and educators, and delve into the history of playgrounds and the politicization of play in Latin American cultural movements. Led by artist Gui Teixeira, the free activity includes a collective creative experience and is recommended for ages 16 and up.
